A bit about us

Our regular trips offer a variety of Canoe and Kayak trips for all abilities across the area and further afield from short half day sessions coaching on the Dee through weekend camping descents of the Tay or Spey right up to occasional 2 week forays abroad.

The club can provide all of the necessary equipment (boats, paddles, buoyancy aids, helmets, wetsuits and cagoules) to make your trips as safe and enjoyable as possible whilst you decide on your own shopping list.

What is the difference between Canoeing and Kayaking?

A commonly asked question! In a kayak, the paddler sits and uses a paddle with a blade at each end – similar to the traditional inuit craft; in a canoe, the paddler typically kneels using a paddle with a single blade – similar to the traditional Native American craft. However technology has moved on somewhat from seal skin and birch bark!
